FAQ’s

1. Do I do the Mind/Body Fertility Wellness Program or medical treatments?

You may do either or you may do both. Many women begin as IVF couple during our program. The choice is yours.

2. How large are the groups?

The groups are no larger than 10 couples.

The sessions with Dr. Ming and Dr. Leclaire O’Neill are private.

3. Is the Fertility Camp for couples only?

The Fertility Camp is for you and your partner. It is also for you alone if your partner cannot attend or if you are doing this on your own. Many women attend alone.

4. How long is the Acupuncture/Hypnofertility/Fertility Wellness Program?

It is 1 hour per week for 12 weeks with Dr. Ming and Dr. Leclaire O’Neill in attendance.

5. Do I have to attend the 1 day Fertility Camp or can I just do the Acupuncture/Hypnofertility Mind/Body Program?

The results seem to be better if you also attend the Fertility Camp. However, you may choose the 12 week program on its own.

6. May I just attend the Fertility Camp and not the 12 week program?

Yes, you may do that, however the best results seem to be if you attend both.

7. Where are the programs held?

The Fertility Camps are held at: Temescal Gateway Retreat Center, Pacific Palisades (the site of an ancient Indian birthing ground) Ojai and Malibu.

8. How long is the Fertility Camp?

It is a 1 day retreat, from 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Saturday – see schedule.

9. What is the cost of the Fertility Camp?

The camp costs $299.00 per couple or single. It includes free lunch.

Dr. Michelle Leclaire O'Neill has worked for 30 years in New York and Los Angeles helping patients to heal. She helped to create the program and worked on staff of first PTSD ward for Vietnam Veterans.

She was on the staff of the Simonton Cancer Center for 10 years where she taught the "Getting Well Again Process" in family, individual and retreat settings. Dr. O'Neill has also trained physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals from all over the world in Mind/Body Medicine and How to Get Well from Cancer. As a balance to her long term work with cancer Dr. O'Neill developed the Mind Body Fertility Program.

Dr. Leclaire O'Neill coined the word hypnobirthing. She is the author of Creative Childbirth; Hypnofertility; Better Birthing with Hypnosis; Meditations for Pregnancy; and The Hypnobirthing Bundle for Happy Hypnomoms and Blissful Hypnobabies, in addition to PTSD healing tapes post 9/11 for NYPD and NYFD, the Hypnosis for Childbirth CD's and the newest CD "Hypnosis and Relaxation for Healing, Health and Peak Performance."

Starrie Ming, D.DS and LCA (Licensed Acupuncturist), received her B.S. degree from UCLA School of Engineering, and belongs to Tau Beta Pi, Engineering Honor Society.

Doctor of dental surgery from UCLA. Dr. Ming is 89th generation Chinese Medicine from Ming dynasty, with 35 years experience in acupuncture and Chinese herbs.

She has been expert examiner on Dental Board of California for many years, and expert examiner on Acupuncture Board of California for over 10 years.

Dr. Starrie Ming has trained physicians, dentists and nurses for acupuncture at UCLA and USC, as well as having conducted classes and seminars to acupuncturists and acupuncture students. She was director of dental and maxillofacial pain at UCLA Medical Center, Pain Control Unit for 4 years.
